In between. This is how many expacts typically feel. We're no longer a part of where we came from, yet don't quite belong to where we are.
Having lived 4,500 miles away from home for the past (almost) 18 years, on a whole other continent, I feel this more strongly each year. And each time I return for a visit. And when it's time to go to my "new home."
Or, it could just be that I am an Old Soul and we are quite restless in this to begin with and rarely feel "at home" in any one place.
It can certainly be very energy-depleating if you only focus on trying to fill this void.
It can also be remarkably liberating when you remember & embrace who you are.
